Freedom

Dear Friends,

This coming Sunday, July 4, start your holiday with prayer, Morning Prayer, at 10:00am.

It is rare to find this beautiful service held on a Sunday.  Mr. Rob Franks will lead, the Rev. Jerry Sneary will preach.

There will be nursery care available.

Here is the collect for Independence Day.  The Lord be with you...Let us pray:

Lord God Almighty, in whose Name the founders of this country won liberty for themselves and for us, and lit the torch of freedom for nations then unborn: Grant we beseech thee, that we and all the people of this land may have grace to maintain our liberties in righteousness and peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

A Festival of Bric-a-Brac and Brisket

Dear Friends,

You are invited to St. James' Church's 8th annual Rummage Sale, taking place this Saturday, June 12, 7:30am - 2:00pm.  New this year: delicious brisket plates with all the sides, coffee and donuts earlier in the morning; and additional vendors.

We hope you'll join in the fun of just mingling with neighbors and maybe finding a treasure or two.  Our donations are so plenteous, that this year we've opened up several rooms in the back of the fellowship hall, one just for holiday items.

For our church members: please consider coming and staying for as long as you are able.  We will need all the volunteer help we can get.  (Don't forget your T-shirt and name tag).  Thank you to those who have already put in many hours this week, cleaning and sorting.

Then, see you for another Meal the next day, Sunday, at 10am: Holy Eucharist.
