Our Lenten Journey

Lent is our journey with Jesus towards the Cross.  In the first century, this time was the final preparation period for those who would be baptized at the Easter Vigil.  Joan Chittister said, "So much of life is spent attending to the show and glitter, the masks and trappings, the externals of our personal identities that we fail to notice what is lacking inside of us."  During Lent we are called to notice what is lacking.  It can be a difficult journey.

One of the ways that we let go of the externals is by the Lenten practice of giving up something.  Hopefully that experience will call us to a deeper examination of our relationship with the masks and the trappings.

On Thursday nights during Lent, please join us  at 7pm to eat together and to view short videos that guide us in that examination of ourselves.

On Friday nights at 7pm, please join us to walk the Stations of the Cross.  The Stations of the Cross is a devotion during which we remember the events of Jesus' crucifixion and death on the Cross.
